Hello.

You may have been surfing along “the net” and come across all of this wohlgemutay business. There’s been a giant spike in traffic in the last few days; I’m mostly attributing that to all of the save the date postcards we sent out last week. I thought it would be tactful to say hello to the new folks.

Hi.

Lisa and I are going to be marriedĀ on an estateĀ in Nashville, TN. It’s historical. It’s beautiful. It’s outside. You’ll love it. I promise. After the ceremony, we’ll all be eating at Saffire in Franklin, TN. We’re renting a room. It’ll be private. This will be prime ‘meet the family’ time, since, at that point, we’ll all be family. I’m excited about this. I can’t wait for that. We’ll eat and talk about ourselves and get to know one another. We’ll do the name game or something –ice breakers. It’ll be like the first day of school all over again.

Lisa and I are in the process of figuring out logistics for those attending; we’ll have a list of hotels and maps and the whole nine yards. I’m hoping that we’ll have everything set up so that getting around and dealing with all of that stuff will be as easy as possible for everyone coming.

Of the two main “Before you marry my daughter, you’ve got to…” stipulations, we’re nearly finished with Dave Ramsay’s Financial Peace University and we’ve got two more sessions of marriage counselling left. Both of those things have been hugely entertaining and informative. Our marriage counselling is hands down the best part of my week every week. We’re going to be working on our invitations, the flowers and figuring out where it is we’ll be heading the day after we get married. Probably someplace warm. Because Lisa likes beaches. And as the compliant future husband, I have no problem with that.

Have a nice week. Thanks for stopping by. To be continued.

Yesterday, Matt & I created, printed, addressed, stamped, and mailed our SAVE THE DATES! NEXT…find a reception location.

Happy Easter everyone!

Drum roll please.

October 18th, 2008.

We’ve got our location, her dress, bridesmaids dresses, and the photographer. Flowers and reception location are next on the list. Then the gentlemen and I will get our fancy pants taken care of. After that, we’re pretty much in countdown mode.

214 days. And counting.

Field Wedding Sign

Matt and I met with our wedding photographer tonight at Fido’s. Jessica is awesome (http://www.jessicaraybornphotography.com/). I’m really excited that she is going to be the one recording our memories.

We ran into Ben at Fido’s, too. He went to Jackson’s to eat dinner with us after our big meeting. Happiness.

We’re going to check out this farm on Saturday that belongs to a friend of a friend. They have 60 acres, and they said that we could use their property to have our wedding if we liked it. Amazing.

Also, my dress came in! I think my mother and I are going to pick it up at some point over the weekend.

Big things….big things…
